On Sunday night, November 12, US President Donald Trump gave a standing ovation to Filipino performers at ASEAN gala dinner. Titled “Bravo ASEAN!”, the program ran for around 30 minutes and was divided into three segments with different performers from across the country.
The first part was a rock-orchestra version of the iconic song “Manila” by Hotdog.
The second was a dance number performed by Sining Kumintang from Batangas, Davao Tappers, and Belinda Agora Dancers. They showcased different types of dance like ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap dance.
The third part, titled “Jubilare,” is a medley of celebratory pop songs. The US President was obviously delighted with the hair-raising performances from Lani Misalucha, Jed Madela, Jona, David Ezra, Darren Espanto, Elha Nympha, Sam Shoaf and the jazz group Baihana that he even raised his fists in the air.
US President Trump told reporters that he enjoyed the gala dinner hosted by the Philippines.
